Central team pays visit to PACS in Karimnagar

Hyderabad: To understand the efforts put up by Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank Limited (TSCAB) and District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB) in computerisation of Primary Agriculture Cooperative Societies (PACS) in the State, a central team comprising senior officials from a host of departments in New Delhi visited PACS in Karimnagar district.

TSCAB, chief information officer, M Srinivasa Rao, illustrated the challenges encountered in collecting basic data, digitalisation and capturing system requirements for computerisation of PACS.

The Central government delegates are delighted to see the appropriate digitalisation of PACS in the State and lauded the efforts of Telangana government and TSCAB in choosing the right implementation and domain expertise through a rigorous selection criterion and advised few improvements in the application to foresee a user experience.

NeGD, general manager, Dr NSP Shiloher Ra; TCIL, advisor, P Ramgopal, NCDC, director (MIS) Rajini Garg, PMUKVY (National Skill Development Corporation) Sr manager Rajeev Rajan, besides Nagarjuna from NABARD participated in the field study to assess the impact of computerisation of PACS in the State.
