Missing lorry found

Four unidentified persons have reportedly stolen a lorry containing coal powder being transported to Bijapur from Gaganpahad area.The RGI Airport police registered a case and found that the vehicle was taken away by recovery agents of a private bank, who had given a loan to purchase the lorry.


Mohd Musthafa, 20, of Humnabad in Karnataka works a lorry driver with one Mohammed Meeraj at his native place. On July 19, Musthafa and the lorry cleaner Md Muqthar came to Gaganpahad area in Shamshabad to collect coal in the lorry (AP 29 U 4131) and take it to Bijapur.The next day, when they reached Kishanguda flyover leading to Gollapally village, they were intercepted by four people, who came on two bikes. 


They pulled Musthafa and Muqthar out of the vehicle and took away the lorry and the bikes.Musthafa approached the RGIA police and lodged a complaint that the stolen property is worth Rs 9 lakh and requested that action be taken without knowing that the lorry was actually taken away by recovery agents of a bank.


RGI Airport detective inspector D. Dasru said, “The lorry was not stolen, but was taken away by recovery agents of a private bank. The lorry owner knew about this, but, the driver panicked and lodged a complaint. After taking legal opinion whether they can take away the vehicle in such a manner, further action will be taken.”
